Bus crash in Dubai that killed 17 people in Dubai was due to inappropriate height barrier

A UAE court heard “the placing of the height barrier in which a bus crashed in Dubai last month, killing 17 people including 12 Indians” was blamed for the accident.

The bus had wrongly entered a road and crashed into the height barrier. The distance between the warning signboard and the barrier was only 12 meters the court was told. A lawyer told the court the distance between the two should have been 60 meters.
