Magnificent Harry Maguire thumps in a low header down and in, following Ashley Young’s corner puts England in front. England has shown when they move the ball quicker they will get chances.

England doubled their lead as Jesse Lingard recycles the ball well wide on the right, turning in a good ball to the back post and Dele Alli heads home unmarked from just a few yards out.

Dele Alli is the second youngest player to score a World Cup score for England, behind only Michael Owen (18 Years 190 days v Romania in 1998).

England will meet either Russia or Croatia in the semi-finals.
