France win Fifa World Cup for second time, after winning in 1998. Deschamps third person to win the World Cup as both player and manager.

Mandzukic heads first World Cup final own goal to give France early lead.

Ivan Perisic was so close to the ball and flashes Croatia level with a wand of a left foot. The free-kick comes in, is nodded down, it ounces around just inside the area and Perisic then takes a composed right-footed touch to bring the ball into his arc and then batters home left footed with a slight deflection.

France corner, swung in , nodded on at the near post an that hit Ivan Perisic’s hand, penalty is given by VAR. Antoine Griezmann had to wait a long time to take the penalty but he slots home left-footed, sending Danijel Subasic the wrong way.

Paul Pogba starts it with a brilliant ball forwards into the run of Kylian Mbappe, he carries it downfield, and finds Antoine Griezmann who then tees up Pogba. His shot is blocked but comes back and Pogba clips home left-footed past an unsighted goalkeeper.,

Kylian Mbappe becomes only the second teenager to score in a World C up final , as Danijel Siubasic doesn’r cover himself in glory in the Croatian goal, he takes a step to his left and Mbappe drills into the other corner from about 22 yards. France is 4-1

France’s Kylian Mbappe has become the first teenager since Brazilian legend Pele in 1958 to score a goal in a FIFA World Cup final. The 19-year-old achieved the feat after scoring France’s fourth goal in the 65th minute against Croatia. Pele had scored two goals in the 1958 final against Sweden which Brazil won 5-2.

 

 

The Spurs keeper gets a backpass, tries to take a touch around Mario Mandzukic and he tackles him and puts it into an empty net. Croatia pulled one baclk to 4-2 handed a lifeline.
