World’s oldest person Emma Martina Luigia Morano dies aged 117year and 137 days in Italy.

Emma was born in Civiasco, Vercelli, Piedmont, Northern Italy, on November 29, 1899, four years before the Wright brother first took to the air and her life spanned two world wars and over 90 Italian governments. Her parents Giovanni Morano and Matilde Bresciani, the eldest of eight children ( five daughters and three sons).

Emma Morano attributed her long life to a diet of eggs and cookies, with very little fruit or vegetables. She was diagnosed with anemia at 20, in the wake of world war I and a doctor advised her to eat three a day, two raw and one cooked, and believed to have eaten over 100, 000 eggs.
