Kenya is conducting the biggest ever animal census to help with its conservation in specific wild life species. For the first time Kenya is counting animals Kenya, home to vulnerable and endangered species that includes lions, giraffes,  hundreds of elephants and the world’s only two surviving northern white Rhino species

The East African country is also a transit route for migratory whales, dolphins and endangered turtles. The count is also important for marine conservation.
