In Kerala, the loss-making state-run KSTRC’s low-floor buses instead of being scrapped will be turned into classrooms, where 94 per cent of literacy, Male literacy is 96.11 per cent while the female is 92.7 per cent, the highest in India, according to State Transport Minister Anthony Raju.  Girls dropping out of school increased due to economic difficulties. The literacy rate in India is one of the major factors for socio-economic progress in addition to academic achievement and according to UNESCO, Kerala will achieve Universal Literacy of 96.2 per cent in the year 2060. On 8th September, International Literacy Day is celebrated around the world every year.

Every state-run school in the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram the capital of Kerala will be given two low-floor buses, as the buses were lying idle after the pandemic.
