“How to help young people by spelling out the facts of unprotected encounters with the opposite sex”?

I feel sure that in years to come a film like this will help young people starting out on their romantic life realize the consequences of not using appropriate protection when “getting together!”

Director Jeanne Leblanc, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Judith Baribeau, worked together to get this story about an underage teenage pregnancy to our screens, with Baribeau acting in the film, which was produced by Benoit Beaulieu and Marriane Farley.

Emilie Bierre plays Magalie Jodoin, living in a small town, starting a scandal when she gets pregnant at 15 years of age. Marianne Farley, Paul Doucet, and Judith Baribeau also star, Farley, playing Magalie’s mother Isabelle. The film’s story is based in Sainte-Adeline, Quebec. Paul Doucet plays the town’s Mayor –    Jean-Marc Ricard,  and Judith Baribeau plays his wife –   Chantal Gregoire.

This is the kind of film which could echo other peoples’ experiences with underage pregnancy so I hope they can find it online or otherwise after the festival.

Watch and Learn.
