An Ambulance has exploded outside a Glasgow hospital after it burst into flames. The vehicle caught fire near Stobhill Hospital at about 13:50 on Wednesday.  Firefighters rushed to the scene at the hospital in the north of the city around 13:50 on Wednesday afternoon. “No crew members were injured and our response to patients in the area has not been affected. An investigation will be undertaken to determine the cause of the fire” according to fire brigade.  The Scottish Ambulance Service said it had not been responding to an emergency and there was no patients on board at the time. The fire has now been extinguished and it is thought the explosion was caused by an oxygen cylinder.
