In Hanoi, Vietnam,  a hotel owned by Hoa Binh Group and managed by US-based Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Inc, has opened  The Dolce Hanoi Golden Lake Hotel, after pandemic with facilities including a 24-carat gold tiled infinity pool on the rooftop, while inside guest rooms, bathrooms are laced with yellow metal with price from only $250 a night. The five-star luxury hotel hopes to attract guests with intimately expensive tastes: gold plated bathtubs, basins, toilets all housed behind a massive golden exterior.

Vietnam has been relatively successful in containing the coronavirus pandemic with only 350 cases and no reported deaths.

“Over a tonne of gold plated projects in Ho Chi Min City and a resort in central Vietnam,” said Duong, a Vietnam War veteran and former cyclo taxi driver who made his fortune in construction and property.
