18 injured in petrol tanker blaze
The incident was sequel to an attempt to pilfer petrol from a petrol tanker. Eighteen persons including three fireman were injured when a tanker loaded with nearly 12, 000 litres of petrol exploded in Medipally village, Telagana, Hyderabad in India.
The huge explosion culminated in a major blaze and dense smoke in the area. The incident occurred at a vehicle repair centre on the Medipally-Chengicheria Road, the tanker and various other vehicle were completely gutted. A two-wheeler rider passing through the road sustained critical burns. According to locals the fire broke out when some one trid to break the seal of the petrol tanker to steal petrol.
