Cornavirus:British Airways with more PPE to land at Heathrow

The Department of Health UK  has released its official death toll, 616 people had died in hospital from coronavirus in the past 24 hours taking the total death toll to 18, 837 at 5 pm, pm 22 April. Out of 425, 821  tests of which 138, 078 tested positive.

A British Airways passenger  Boeing 777 plane arriving from Singapore Flown by UK pilot Charle Price, is set to land in the UK carrying tonnes of PPE for NHS staff.  The plane would normally be filled with travellers, crammed with crucial medical supplies destined for London Heathrow, UK. The PPE is vital to protect doctors and nurses treating highly contagious COViD-19 patients, has been strapped into seats, and stored in overhead lockers as well as the plane’s cargo hold.

“A 28-hour layover in complete isolation from arrival to departure, enforced by the Singaporean government, not even allowed out of the airport hotel room, at all, not even for a walk. We are just delivering equipment for the real front line workers” Charles Price said.

This mission comes after British Airways has grounded most of its fleet due to the coronavirus pandemic and the travel restrictions which are in place across the globe and a national alert was issued to all 217 NHS trusts last Friday over shortages of vital kit.
