6 Injured in Mercedes and Ambulance crash, 2 teenagers seriously hurt
A black Mercedes, carrying five people collided with an ambulance on a 999 call, Babas, Oak Hill in Sturry, Kent, just before 2:00pm. Six people have been hurt, two teenage girls aged 12 and 14, were cut free from the car with serious injuries, and airlifted to nearby hospital.
Three other family members were taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be serious.
A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesperson said one male staff member was taken to hospital with an ankle injury and the ambulance was not carrying a patient at the time of the crash.
The two vehicles collided and soon after the ambulance ploughed through a fence into the garden of a property close to the A28.
