71 years young Michael Douglas – US actor wants London West End debut

Michael Douglas’s celebrated actress wife Catherine Zeta-Jones spent three years in Drury Lane when she started as an understudy then took over a lead role in 42nd Street. Douglas would love to work in the same theatre or another London theatre and says “One of the things about getting older and a cancer survivor is that I look more closely at how I want to spend my time”.  Next month Douglas will be in London at The Theatre Royal Drury Lane for a Q and A with Jonathan Ross.

Meanwhile Michael Douglas and his wife and children Dylan aged 16 and Carys 13 visit Wales regularly to enable the grandparents to spend time with the grandchildren and Douglas has many relatives in England which gives him a feeling that he has a “close tie” with the UK.
