Indian Hockey legend Mohammed Shahid passed away
Indian hockey legend Mohammed Shahid (56), a forward in the Olympic gold-winning team at Moscow 1980, died in Gurgaon on Wednesday 20th July 2016 suffering from severe liver and kidney ailments. He was admitted to Meanta- the Medicity earlier this month after suffering from Jaundice and dengue. He was airlifted from Varanasi.
Known for his dribbling skills, he was a member of Indian team which also won the silver at the Delhi Asian Games in 1982 and Bronze in the Seoul Asiad in 1986.
