Airbnb raising another $850m

Tech unicorn Airbnb is raising additional late-stage capital adding $850m to its coffers. The company has raised $1.5bn last year in one fo the largest VC rounds in history, to make its potential valuation to $30bn. Recently Airbnb sued The city of San Francisco over a law requiring Airbnb to verify that hosts had filed with the city before advertising their homes.

According to the Wall Street Jurnal investors are concurrently planning to buy approxitmtely $200m in stock from employees in a buyback program offering some liquidity to early employees.
