Meitu used by over 450 million female teenagers is worth $4.6m

Chinese start-up Meitu, with more than 450 million female teenagers who use the app every month is worth  $4.6bn.

Meitu, a global innovator in mobile video and photography, including proprietary facial recognition and virtual “try-on” technology for make-up and hair, famous for an app that helps people to “beautify” their selfies, by tweaking their face shape or altering the skin tone, or removing pimples has just been listed on the Hong Kong Stock exchange after raising $629m is the biggest IPO by a technology firm in the city in almost a decade.
