Italy’s Covid -19 toll crosses 366

Italy which has one of the world’s oldest populations,  366 people have died  and 7375 infected from the coronavirus outbreak

Although some transport in and out of the regions affected continued on Sunday, flights still arrived at Milan’s Malpensa and Linate airports. Italy’s national carrier Alitalia said it would suspend all operations from Malpensa from Monday and Linate would only serve domestic routes. International flights would continue to and from Rome.

All schools and universities across the country remain shut for 10 days.

The number of infections worldwide is more than 107000 with about 3600 deaths.

On Monday China reported no transmitted infections outside Hubei province, where the outbreak began, for the second consecutive day. In South Korea, the lowest number of cases in two weeks is reported. Iran has now confirmed 6566 infections and 194 deaths.

France reported  1126 infections. And has banned gatherings of more than 1000 people.

A man in his 60s who recently returned from Italy has become the third person and fourth person in her 70s from Wolverhampton in the UK to die from Covid-19 at North Manchester General Hospital and the number of infections rose to 373.

In Germany  989, Spain 589, Netherlands 285 infected cases reported.

In US more than 500 people had been diagnosed with Covid-19 in 30 o the country’s 50 states and the death toll is 21.
