Hydrogen powered train for the first time tried in UK rail network
Hydroflex, a hydrogen-powered train has travelled a 25 mile round trip in Warwickshire, reaching speeds up to 50 mph, on Britain’s rail network for the first time .
The net phase is to move the hydrogen tanks fuel cells and battery out o a carriage and stash then underneath the train with the aim to start carrying paying passengers by the end of 2021.
