Seven orphaned puppies are found sheltering adjacent to their mother’s dead body in -20ºc weather at Krasnoyarsk region in Siberia.

The whining puppies had been rescued after three days, from the Yermelyanovo settlement. Rescuers fear their mother could have been poisoned by locals seeking to get rid of strays. The puppies were taken to a warm shelter in Krasnoyarsk city and given food and first aid. “The puppies are fluffy with good undercoats and are now in good health. They will be of average size and will do well both in a flat as well as security guards”, the shelter staff said.
