England won their second T20 World Cup beating Bangladesh by eight wickets with 35 balls to spare, in Abu Dhabi.

England successfully restricted Bangladesh to 124-9 with Mills taking 3-27, Livingstone and Moeen taking 2 wickets each. There was also a find catch from Adil Rashid and a run-out.

Off-spinner Moeen Ali removed both Bangladesh openers Liton Das and Mohammed Naim with consecutive balls, Das edging to deep square-leg and Naim tamely finding mid-on to reduce Bangladesh to 26-3, when Mushfique Rahim 29 and captain Mahmudullah  19 from 24 staged a mini recovery.

In reply, Jason Roy trashed 61 from 38 balls with David Malan who made 28 not out of

 25 balls.

England now tops Group1 after two games in the Super 12s.

 

Their next match is against Australia in Dubai on Saturday at 15:00 BST.

Namibia’s Trumpelmann took three wickets in the first over to shock Scotland to 2-3, who were left limping to 109-8 thanks to Michael Leask’s 27-ball 44.

Namibia was 67-4 at one stage  and their scoring ground to a halt as two more wickets fell late on but JJ Smit hit an unbeaten 32 from 23 balls, ensuring victory with a six over point.

Scotland who lost both their games  face New Zealand, India and Pakistan in their remaining Group 2 matches.
