How not to announce a meet and greet
Nicki Minaj, the Trinidadian rapper, has been left disappointed as a meet and greet event in London had to be cancelled after the star was mobbed by fans.
The rapper posted on Instagram that she would be at Café Koko in Camden from noon on Monday, prompting many to arrive at the venue in the early hours.
Her appearance was pushed back and when she arrived at 6.00 pm BST police had to form a wall around her. They then had to escort her to the venue before she could enter,

On Twitter, Camden Police said they were contacte4d by the venue’s staff who were concerned about overcrowding. After closing the roads off, they decided to cancel the event and urged people to leave the area.
It comes as the force was called in to help manage the crowds ahead of her performance at the festival in Finsbury Park. Footage on social media showed people jumping over gates to make their way into the music event.
Revamped Café Koko came back only this month complete with a buzzing Café and a member’s only performance area called Fly Tower, which was closed down a few years ago from flooding and a fire that damaged its iconic. Copper dome, which was a Camden music venue and a real crowd-pleaser for Londoners, where Kanye Prince and Rolling Stones performed. Café Koko’s Pizzeria with a menu curated by chef Andreas Engberg, including doughy delights made with San Marzano tomatoes and toppings like nduja and Calabrian chillis.
