England collapse as Australia win the ODI series 3-2

England won the toss but capitulated 138 all out in sunny conditions, as Australia won by eight-wickets and a 3-2 series victory in the deciding one-day international at Old Trafford.
The home side were reduced to 22-3 in the 6th over and then saw captain Eoin Morgan retire with concussion. They were eventually bowled out in 33 overs with Ben Stokes making 42 and Mitchell Marsh taking 4-27.
Jason Roy was given out leg before to the second delivery which was overturned but was given out again on the fourth delivery. Both Marsh and John Hastings was causing problems with their consistent length. After Morgan was forced to retire, Jonny Bairstow was given out lbw on review to Marsh, and Moeen Ali and David Willey was out in the space of three balls. Stokes sparked a lone fight back with Adi Rashid unbeaten on 35.
Australia comfortably reached their target in 24.2overs with Aron Finch 70 not out.
For the visitors it was consolation winning the one day series on the final day of their tour after losing 3-2 defeat in the Ashes Test series.
