Rilee Rossouw 61 in 39 balls, who replaced injured JP Duminy, pounded a 31-ball half-century.
Russell should have run him out off his own bowling when De Villiers had 94, as West Indies fell apart, as 261 runs conceded in last 20 overs, 150 in the final 10 overs of the innings.
