Ben Stokes Five wickets for 35 runs put England on the brink of winning the Ashes, with only 3 wickets remaining. Australia are still trailing by 90 runs. Stoke took three Australian wickets late in the afternoon session as Australia’s opening stand of 113 collapsed.  He had 5 for 35 in 16 overs and persistent display of excellent swing bowling.

Earlier Mitchell Starc had salvaged his best test figures of 6-111 otherwise a match that provided only gloom to Australia,
