I had always been intrigued by the Bareminerals  brand. My skin is quite sensitive and as a result I’ve had allergic reactions to some make up and beauty brands in the past.

One of my latest allergic reactions specifically dry skin seemed to coincide with the use of one of my best loved tanning products namely Cocoa Brown which had been a self tanner that gave and does give great results and colour depth however in the past year or so I started getting irritation after using it so I had to start looking at alternatives.

Summer is coming and I have a reluctance to start using tanning booths again I needed a new product that would be kind to my skin and also build up a beautiful colour. I found that in Bareminerals Faux Tan Body.

Bareminerals Faux Tan Body seemed to tick all the boxes for what I was looking for however I am quite reluctant to try a new tanner out of the blue. I’ve dabbled in various brands over the years and application can be tricky and sometimes can give undesirable results if you just reach for anything on the tanning shelf.

Fortunately this product certainly didn’t disappoint. In fact I’ve fallen completely head over heels for it!

The product comes in a big bottle 472ml to be precise. It also comes with an application brush which is handy and a nice touch as I find tanning gloves can be prone to wear and tear and can still somehow give you the dreaded ‘tan hands’ that nobody desires.

Applying with the brush is easy and felt soft and gentle on my skin. The Faux Tan glided easily into my skin and the first thing I noticed was the deep pigment of colour in the product. This is essential as it made application smooth and I could easily see areas I could have missed.  The product smells of warm almonds and I could feel instantly moisturised in the skin.

The product also dries exceptionally quickly so you can get dressed within 15 minutes without the fear of it ending up staining your clothes.

I immediately could see a difference on my skin. Usually you have to wait hours before you see a tan develop but instantly I could see a change.

I did somehow manage to get some of the product on my hands however it even looked good on my palms! Now that’s saying something.

I would heartily recommend this product and I do consider myself well informed on tanning products having used a broad range of them.
