Best Selling novelist Jackie Collins OBE dies
The British born Jackie Collins OBE, the novelist has died of breast cancer, in Los Angeles, at the age of 77.
According to a statement of her family “ It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the death of our beautiful, dynamic and one-of-a-kind mother.”
Jackie Collins rauncy novels of the rich and famous sold more than 500 million copies in 40 countries, in a career spanning four decades.
She was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer six and half years ago, and during that period she has written five books, “ I did my way, as Frank Sinatra would say. I lived my life, I have travelled all over the world.”
Her first novel, The World is Full of Married Men,, was published n 1968 and topped the bestseller, which was banned in Australia, and went on to write 32 novels all of which appeared in The New York Times bestseller list.
Her sister Joan Collin 82 said she was “completely devastated.”
