Calbuco volcano erupts twice after 43 years
The 6500 feet high Calbuco volcano in southern Chile, 600 miles from Capital Santiago, has erupted twice in the space of a few hours this week after lying dormant for 43 years.
A huge column of lava and ash being sent several kilometres into the air.
The authorities have declared a red alert and evacuated more than 4,000 people within a 20km (12 mile) radius, fell on several surrounding towns and villages, giving it a orange and yellow glow.
Officials evacuated 4000 people away from ash and gas contaminating air and close access to 13-mile radius of volcano.
