South Africa win by 31 runs
Rassie van der Dussen ‘s 129 * and Porteas skipper Temba Bavuma’s 110 helped South Africa to beat India by 31 runs in the first ODI in Paari. The second ODi will be played at the same venue on Friday. Then South Africa managed to restrict India to 265 for 8 in 297 run chase. India although started off pretty well in the chase, but after the wickets of Shikar Dhawan (790 and Virat Kohli 41 the middle order collapsed. Then Shardul Thakur made an unbeaten 50 towards the end. India’s bowing and batting were below par and are expecting to bounce back for the second ODI in the three match series. India were 203 for 7 after 40 overs still nedding 94 runs off 60 balls with the required run rate of 9.4 an over.
