China Eastern Boeing 737crash kills 132
The China Eastern Airlines flight six-year-old Boeing 737-89P, crashed on Monday afternoon, after plunging 20, 000 ft ( 6,000m), with an enormous force disintegrating on impact. The Black box recovered was badly damaged. The second black box, which records flight data, has not yet been found.
Sun Shiying chairman of the airline’s Yunnan branch, told reporters on Wednesday the three pilots on board were in good health and “had a good performance and had maintained harmonious relationships with their families”.
According to Zhu Tao, an official at the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) the storage units of the recovered black box were damaged but relatively complete and have been sent to a Beijing institute for decoding.
The crash site in a remote area near Wuzhou in Teng Countuy, Guangxi province, the works was suspended on Wednesday due to poor weather, as some human remains had been located.
