Daniel Craig’s last James Bond film: No Time to Die, has Royal premiere
No Time to Die is Daniel Craig’s fifth and final James Bond film, which had its world premiere in London, 18th months later than planned due to the pandemic.
He said the 007 role was “incredibly important to cinema and to history, and the weight of that has been on my shoulders for a while. I have been incredibly lucky”. The film hit UK cinemas on Thursday.
Naomie Harris, who is playing Moneypenny for the third time said it was “an emotional night” precisely because it is Craig’s last outing in the role.
Rami Malek plays Bond villam Safin. Les Seydoux reprises her role as Madeleine.
Producer Barbara Broccoli, who controls the franchise with co-producer Michael G Wilson, said they would not start thinking about Craig’s replacement until next year. Odeon said it has sold more than 175, 000 tickets by Monday, while Cineworld said it had the largest pre-booking rates since 2019’s Avengers Endgame.
