Each parish should welcome a refugee family says Pope
As a result of the news on refugees coming into Europe over 2,000 Britons have already offered to give a place to stay to asylum seekers. Former Archbishop of Canterbury George Carey has called to “crush” IS with the military – this a man who deals with Christian-Muslim dialogue.
£1 billion has been allotted by the department run by Justine Greening – International Development Secretary to Syria related aid.
The Pope has said “It is not enough to say Have courage, Hang in There”. He is taking two families into The Vatican. He has called for Parishes, monasteries, religious communities, every sanctuary in Europe to host a family.
British politicians including Jeremy Corbyn Andy Burnham, Yvette Cooper and Nicola Sturgeon, have all suggested they would welcome refugees into their homes – according to The 7 September British free Metro newspaper.
