EgyptAir Airbus with 59 passengers and 10 crew members has disappeared
An EgyptAir flight MS804, Airbus A320 with 59 passengers and 10 crew members on board which left Paris at 23:09 local time on Wednesday 17th May 2016 (21:09GMT) and scheduled to arrive in the Egyptian capital at 3:00 local time has disappeared from radar 10miles (16km) into Egyptian air space. A search operation is underway being coordinated with the Greek authorities. In March, an EgyptAir plane was hijacked and diverted to Cyprus . The attacker later surrendered and all hostages were released. Later October, a Russian passenger plane flying from Sharm el-Sheikh crashed over the Sinai peninsula killing 224 people on board. Officials in Moscow later said the aircraft was brought down by an explosive device. Islamic State militants said that they had bombed the plane.
The EygptAir aircraft manufactured in 2003 was flying at 37,000 feet and the pilot had 6000 hours flying experience.
