Emirates airline 10 sick passengers rushed to hospital in New York

Nineteen people have been taken ill after Emirates airline plane flight EK203 from Dubai to New York landed in New York JFK airport 9:10 (13:10 GMT) with 521 passengers. The plane was immediately quarantined at JFK airport. Three passengers including rapper Vanilla Ice and seven crew members who fell ill on board Emirates flight were taken to a hospital.

Emirates airline tweeted that the sick passengers were being attended to and those who were unaffected would be allowed to leave the plane. ”About 100 passengers including some crew on the flight complained of illness including cough and some with fever.

Apparently some of the passengers had originally come from the Saudi Arabian city of Mecca, which was currently experiencing a flu outbreak and that the passengers symptoms were “pointing to the flu”.
