England beat Venezula to win the FIFA U-20 World Cup, first major title after 51 years

 

The Everton striker, Dominic Calvert-Lewin gave England a first-half goal and win over Venezuela in 2017 Under-29 World Cup final at Suwon World Cup Stadium on Sunday and a first global title since 1966.

Goalkeeper Freddie Woodman later saved a second-half penalty from Adalberto Penaranda as the South Americans applied the pressure in an entertaining clash in which both teams hit the woodwork.

Ronaldo Lucena’s Swerving free kick from more than 30 meters ( 30 yards) out swerved and Freddie, but bounced off the woodwork.

With 17 minutes remaining Venezuela was urgently pushing forward.
