Entire Saatchi Gallery to be given over to Stones Exhibition next year
Will The Rolling Stones ever be “Old Hat”? Probably not as they were amongst the forerunners of all the music that came after them and emerged with them. However far be it for one group to overshadow all the other most amazing and mesmerising performers and gigs and songs to come out of the sixties, the seventies and beyond.
BUT The Saatchi Gallery is keen to be the keeper of the most awaited exhibition of next year housing Stones stuff – memorabilia, costumes, instruments, pics, posters and all the rest, and the exhibition is regarded as BLOCKBUSTER. Patrick Woodroffe is one of the exhibition’s curators and has been creative director of many of The Stone’s live shows and has said of this exciting insight into this mesmerising band , “The Rolling Stones has always been about much more than music.” They want to inject humour as well as reverence into this display of their band. Patrick added, “This is a band that has never really looked backwards.”
The STONES EXHIBITIONISM will open at the Saatchi Gallery on April 6 2016. Tickets are on sale from this month at 10.stonesexhibitionism.com
