F16 and Cessna 150 collision in mid-air balls of fire, two killed
An F-16 fighter jet attached to the 20th fighter wing, collided with a small Cessna 150 two seater plane in mid-air in South Caroline 11 miles from North of Charleston, at about 11 am local time, according Federal Aviation officials.
The National Transportation Safety Board ( NTSB) says investigation are continuing.
The pilot of F-16 ejected and was taken to shaw Airforce base according Lieutenant Jenny Hayden. Two people have been killed from the Cessna 150.
The US Air Force has flown F-16s since 1970s, although very few active-duty squadrons still fly them.
