Facebook down for the second time in a week
Facebook the world’s largest social network with 1.39bn monthly active users, goes down millions without access to their accounts
Facebook was founded by Mark Zuckerberg in February 2014, initially set up as an exclusive network for Harvard students. Millions of Facebook users failed to access their stored pictures, messages and contact details as they saw the message “Service Unavailable” when they were trying to log on just after 5pm UK time on 24th September 2015.
However, the website was back online and fully operational by 5:50pm.
Facebook which has 802m average daily users with an advertising revenue of £1.62bn ($2.5bn) in the first quarter of 2015, with over 50o per cent waking up with Facebook login habit.
