Flipkart founders joins the Indian billionaires rich list
Indian e-retailer Flipkart’s co-founders Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal are the latest billionaires from India, with £845million $1.3bn according to Forbes India’s rich list released on 23rd September 2015. The Indian e-commerce has joined the elite club of billionaires with Flipkart’s founders Bansals making their debut at number 86 with the list lead by Reliance supremo Mukesh Ambani £ 12.29bn $18.9bn and closely followed by Sun Pharmaceutical’s Dilip Shanghvi £11.7bn $18bn in second and IT Czar Wipro chairman Azim Premji £ 10.34bn $15.9bn in third place.
The combined wealth of India’s 100 richest remains at £225bn $345bn.
Hinduja brothers £9.62bn $14.8bn ids ranked fourth, Pallonji Mistry and LN Mittal £7.28bn $11.2bn the steel magnet slipped to eight positon £9.56bn $14.7bn, Shiv Nadar £8.39bn $12.9bn Godrej £7.41 $11.4bn seventh Cyrus Poonawalla £5.14 $7.9bn ninth and Kumar Mangalam Birla £5.07 $7.8bn tenth.
According to Forbes Asia’s India editor Naazneen Karmali “India’s entrepreneurial spirit remains buoyant”.
