Pakistan face unbeaten New Zealand in their World T20 match in Mohali. Having lost one and won one they Pakistan need a win to progress further. New Zealand became the first team to book their place in the 2016 ICC World T20 semi-finals with a 22 run victory over Pakistan. They have beaten India, Australia already.
Guptill 89 not out gave New Zealand to build challenging total of 180-5. Although Sharjeel Khan’s blazing 47 off 25, gave Pakistan a fast start in the powerplay they could keep the run rate in the last five overs as no boundaries were scored. When Sharjeel was dismissed and the spinners choked Pakistan’s progress in the middle overs and fell short by 22 runs.
