With the opening scheduled for 2017, the famous department store Harvey Nichols will be the eighth venture outside the UK and Ireland – in Doha, Qatar – the world’s richest country.
80,000 sq ft will be given over to the department store which will sell fashion, beauty products, homeware and hospitality services and will be developed by the Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana Company. This group also runs boutiques for Armani, Alexander McQueen and Hermes.
Qatar’s per capita GDP is more than $100,000 putting the oil rich state at the top of rankings for global wealth.
