Honesty prevails at last!

Arvind Kejriwal, whose Aam Aadmi (Common Man) Party, annihilated the rivals in the Delhi Assembly election, will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi tomorrow and invite him for the swearing-in ceremony at Ramlila Maidan on February 14. His party which has campaigned against corruption, won 67 of the 75 assembly seats, in Delhi’s City election, destabilising Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party who could only take 3 seats and the once dominated Congress party was entirely wiped out.
Prime Minister Modi’s image of political invincibility were tarnished after eight months of the BJP’s national government.
Working class, middle class and religious minorities once loyal to the Congress party had abandoned them and declared their vote of confidence for Mr kejriwal and his promise of clean government and voted for AAP . India’s capital territory with a population of 17m compared to India’s 1bn inhabitants brought an end to BJP’s string of victories in state polls since sweeping to power in the general election.
Arvind Kejriwal, a Mechanical Engineer from IIT Kharagpur, is a new breed of Indian politican and social activist. He was born on the 16th of August 1968 and is a former Indian Inland Revenue officer who also served as the 7th Chief Minister of Delhi.
In 2006, Kejriwal a recipient of the Ramon Magasaysay Award for Emergent Leadership, recognising his involvement in a grassroots movement, Parivartan – who were using right-to-information legislation in a campaign against corruption.
