India’s eight-wicket win over Australia in the big final of the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup was sensational to become the only team in history to lift the World Cup title for a record fourth time including 2000, 2008, 2012.
For the first time, an Indian was the top wicket-taker in the tournament after spinner Anukul Roy finished the 2018 edition with joint-highest 14 wickets, with accurate bowling performance saw them restrict Australia to 216 all out.
Indian bowlers managed to remove the last six Australian wickets for just 33 runs and later opener Manjot Kalra, struck a 101-ball century to lead India to victory, with vital batting partnership going with each batsman he batted with – 71 with Shaw, 60 with Shubman Gill and an unbeaten 89 with Harvik Desai/

India won their first match by 100 runs against Australia in Mount Maunganui, and their second and third matches against Papua New Guinea and Zimbabwe respectively on the same venue won by 10 wickets. Quarter Final against Bangladesh at Queenstown was won by 131 runs and Semi-Final against Pakistan at Christchurch won by 203 runs.
