International Women’s Day
March 8th is an International Women’s day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women and focus on upholding women’s achievements, recognize challenges, and greater attention on women’s rights and gender equality, and also celebrate acts of courage by ordinary women, who played an extraordinary role in the history of their countries and communities.
Legal restrictions have kept 2.7 billion women from accessing the same choice of jobs as men. Less than 25 per cent of parliamentarians are women, as of 2019. One in three women experiences gender-based violence, still. Let us make 2021 count for women and girls everywhere in the world.
