IPhone 7 goes up in flames also.. It’s just not Samsung note 7 alone
Mat Jones left his IPhone 7 under a bunch of clothes in his car while he went to takea surfing lesson. When he returned, he found his car filled with smoke, according to 7 News reports AU. The heated phone ignited and smoke the interior. The case is similar to what happened to Note 7 phones. But now IPhone 7 also has more than couple of cases of fires, perhaps facing a similar fate that Samsung did with the Note7 , requiring a worldwide recall.
Apple is aware of the incident and will investigate the events that led to the phone catching fire. The investigation would also determine whether or not the incident was caused by a defective battery in the IPhone. The IPhone 7 was sitting under clothes, and in a car parked in a beach, and the warm climate contributed to the heat building up in the car and began to warm the phone up, creation a catalyst ignition and with plenty of flammable clothes. Do not leave phones where it can overheat like under the pillows, as phones can get really hot if they are charging and combust and blow up.
Jones told 7 News “ Ash was just coming from inside the pants, which the once you wrapped in to the pants, the phone was just melting inside of it”.
A time will come when the unthinkable can happen when all mobile phones are banned in planes for fear of explosion and fire.
Samsung is trying to repair its brand after discontinuing the Galaxy Note 7 for a defect that prompted the first run of devices and replacements to overheat, catch fire and explode. Samsung has apologised and is offering customers credits on their mobile phone bills as it tries to reclaim all of the Galaxy Note 7s it sold.
