JESSICA ENNIS IN HER FIRST SPORTS APPEARANCE SINCE BIRTH OF HER SON

The Olympic Park has re-opened for the Sainsbury’s Anniversary Games attended by huge crowds of adoring enthusiasts.  Jessica Ennis is now Jessica Ennis- Hill and a mother of a son.  It’s been three years since her gold medals in the Olympics and she won her race today where she is competing in 3 events before her appearance in next month’s world championships in Beijing. Jessica has the advantage of wonderful countryside close by to Sheffield, a friendly environment and good home-grown food and she has done us all proud again.  Three cheers for Jessica.

Usain Bolt was back to win the 100 metres and Mo Farah also won his race.  Well done to all athletes for the dedication and resolve which makes them the fittest people in the world on record.
