Joy: a must watch movie
Joy is a young girl, who loves to invent new versions of common household items.
Joy played by Jennifer Lawrence , a divorced mother with children, had to put her dreams on hold to care for her family her father Rudy ( Robert De Niro) an emotionally volatile man who runs the local auto shop, her mum Terry (Virginia Madsen, who spends her days watching soap operas and her ex-husband Tony (Edgar Ramirez), a singer who reside in the basement of Joy’s house.
One day a minor incident inspires her to design and construct a new mop which more effective, in the hope that she can mass produce it, when she met Neil Walker, (Bradley Cooper), an executive who works for the QVC, televised shopping network, where Joy can advertise her creation.
Written and directed by David O. Russell , Joy is a movie based on the life of entrepreneur Joy Mangano, excellent drama played eclipsed by Jennifer Lawrence’s compelling performances.
