Liverpool beats Spurs 2-0 to win Champions League final in the night of redemption

 Liverpool wins the Champions League Trophy for the sixth time with victory over Tottenham in Madrid with Mohamed Salah scoring via a penalty after two minutes when Moussa Sissoko was contentiously punished for handball..

 Although Spurs had their chances they were denied by Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson who saved well from Son Heung-min, Lucas Moura and Christian Eriksen.

 Liverpool’s substitute Divock Origi ensured manager Jurgen Klopp won his first trophy by driving low and powerful past Hugo Lloris with three minutes left.

 Liverpool lifted the trophy that was taken from them in Ukraine last season and now stand behind Real Madrid and AC Milan as serial winners of this tournament.
