Mayor of London wants to pull down trees to make way for cycle lane
With two former London cyclist mayors Ken Livingstone, the Prime minister Boris Johnson, the current Mayor Sadiq Khan has gone ahead and introduced cycle lanes all over London.
As per the above video, where Jeremy Clarkson reveals The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan’s plans chop off the tree lining the Holland Park roads to make way for a cycle lane, all in the name of helping the environment and to realise the Mayor’s vision for a City for All Londoners and claims to create greener healthier and more prosperous city. The car and other vehicle owners who pay the road tax and taxpayers money is used to creating cycle lane and create more pollution and instead of improving the city’s air quality, worsens it.
TfL which manages the city’s red route strategic roads and through collaboration with the London Boroughs dreams to hope to reduce car dependency.
A Labour Councillor for Barnet said, “cyclists don’t have to use the cycle lanes if they don’t want to, they have as much right as cars to use the road”. So in reality the lanes are a money spending exercise.
The people of London that pay their taxes, Mayor of London have disrespected them by still going ahead with cycle lanes when we voted not to do so and wasting away the tax money we work hard to be invested in local and social communities.
