Mexico has found a way to clean its polluted air, as the columns in Mexico City’s busiest highways used by over 22 million people every day are being converted into over 600, 000 Square foot of vertical gardens and improves the air quality and aesthetic of the city.
Via Verde projects of Mexico city plans to transform 1000 concrete pillars into vertical gardens and produce more than oxygen for more than 25, 000 people each year, so that it can suck up more than 27,000 tons of harmful gases and capture 11, 000 pounds of dust. Moreover, it will use rainwater to keep 500, 000 plant alive. We clean rainwater to irrigate the plants. The felt is made of plastics. This model is also followed in Germany, France , Japan and US
