Murray beats Seppi in four sets

 

3rd seeded Andy Murray advanced to 4 round by beating  25th seed Andreas Seppi in four sets 6-2, 6-2, 1-6, 6-1. Murray’s next match is with 23rd seed Ivo Karlovic. Having lost six games in a row Murray 28 swept through next 6 games. Murray won first two sets in little over an hour but Seppi fought back to win the third and Murray dominated in the closing stages to break Seppi serves three times to secure victory in two hours and 8 minutes.

James Ward (28) got knocked out by big serving Canadian Vasek Pospisil 6-4, 3-6, 2-6, 6-3, 8-6 in three hours and 5 minutes.

Second seed Swiss  and seven times champion Roger Federer (31) beat Australian Sam Groth 6-4, 6-4 , 6-7, (5-7), 6-2. Gorth lost despite firing  147 mph the second fastest serve in Wimbledon history. Roger meets 20th Seed spanish Roberto Bautista Agut in the fourth round.

In other matches defending champion Czech world number two Petra Kovitva suffered a shock defeat from former world number one and 28th seed Jelena Jankovic  3-6, 7-5. 6-3, 6-4.
